Dr. Park was the first to innovate the “No-tie Double Jaw Surgery”, which eliminated the jaw tying process after surgery. The upper and lower jaw (maxilla and mandible) used to be tied with rubber bands or wires in order to adjust the postoperative occlusion, resulting in patients having great difficulties in breathing and drinking/eating. However, since he introduced the new method omitting the tying process, the recovery period was shortened while also increasing the patient’s comfort level exponentially. To date, Dr. Park Sang Hoon has performed double jaw surgery to 3,257 patients and face bone contouring surgery to 8,509 patients according to the record from 2011 to 2019.

Park Sang Hoon, M.D., Ph.D., is board-certified plastic surgeon who was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. From a young age, he envisioned a future where he would help others to find happiness. That was the key motivator that helped him strive to be one of the best in the field of facial bone surgery. He was has a doctorate from Seoul National University, College of Medicine. He was a professor and also the Director of center at Asan Medical Center. He was a visiting Professor at NYU Medical Center’s Department of Plastic Surgery and the University of Texas. He is a full member of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and an associate member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
