Psychotherapist Turned Author Bob Strauss Launches Debut Novel, ‘Dancing in the Dark’

The story features four principal characters, Dr. Harry Salinger, a renowned psychologist, two of his patients, Jennifer and Jacques, and Harry’s colleague and friend, Amanda Blake.
The novel mixes comedy and drama as it graphically depicts two tremulous love stories, Jennifer and Jacques, Harry and Amanda, following their breakups and makeups, the ambivalences, misunderstandings, and regrettable bad behavior that create havoc and heartache. The author, as a psychotherapist itself, puts to use his long experience to create characters that are real to life, psychologically complex, and vividly portrayed. Readers will be locked into these characters, and will be eager to learn about their ultimate destinies.
